As last year, IVAO Italia will be present on Saturday, 6th and on Sunday, March 7th at the Model Expo Italy fair in Verona as exhibitors, actively involved in the FLIGHT SIMULATOR SHOW 2010 organized by PVI. At the stand we will open many ATC positions, from GND to ACC: screens from different positions will be send to a screen and the relative TS audio channel broadcasted live for visitors. GND and TWR positions will be opened using IvAi. You are all invited to fly to and/or from Verona (LIPX) during the opening hours that is from 09.30 UTC till 16.30 UTC on Saturday and Sunday to have a good amount of traffic so to show all visitors at the stand what IVAO is all about.
Whoever during those days will be in Italy around Verona is invited to join us at the fair!
PVI (Piloti Virtuali Italiani), the most important Italian Flight Simulation Association, to celebrate the 15° years of activity is organizing a “Flight Simulator Show” (FSS2010), that will be held in Verona (Italy) on March 6th and 7th 2010.
Our association organized this kind of events for several years; after a three years break, the Association decided to “get it back”, with the firm idea of making it a regular event for all FS enthusiasts and professionals, and not just a single show.
This one is going to be a great event that will have, in foreground, not only PVI as organizer, but the whole world of Flight Simulation. An invitation has been sent to the leading manufacturers and distributors, to ensure to all visitors a great weekend of fun and involvement, a true "full immersion" into the Flight Simulation. Besides the booths, where you can see the latest products released, there is a substantial agenda of meetings and interactive demonstration to give the opportunity to everybody to see, and often to try, what the world of flight simulation can offer, today.
The Association will organize not only the presence of exhibitors, but will also set up a large number of workstations for Flight Simulation to be used by all visitors. It’s possible to try several Cockpit, “just alike” reconstructions of plane and helicopter cockpits that will “bring” the visitor into "a new dimension of Flight Simulation, giving the exact idea of the level of realism achieved.
In some of the past editions, FSS got many famous names of the FS world as exhibitors, like Project Magenta, CPlight, Engravity, Flight Illusion, XesaSystems, but also names like Microsoft, XP-Italia (official presence of X-Plane), IVAO, VATSIM, Saitek; many Virtual Airlines, Aero Clubs, several Organizations and Flight Schools. Of course was always present ENAV (the Italian Company for Air Navigation Services), Alenia Areonautica etc., as well as a many real and Flight Simulation enthusiasts, air traffic controller and professional pilots.
Be the first to introduce to the public new products and/or organizations, has always been one of the goals of this event; the last one was the “TileProxy Poject”, presented “on the stage” for the first time in Europe during the last edition. Cultural events complete the show, as “Prova a Volare” ("Try to Fly"), a very interesting exhibition about the history of Flight Simulation by the Air Museum "Gianni Caproni" (Trento – Italy).
The event is hosted "inside" another big event, the Model Expo Italy, a very important Hobby Model fair with visitors coming from all over Europe, a fair that “can count” on over 50.000 visitors and about 230 exhibitors (the “numbers” of the past edition).

Flights can be done both on Saturday, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday or both on Sunday. It's important that your landing time if flying to LIPX or take off time if departing LIPX falls between 09:30 UTC and 16:30 UTC
ATCs doing a session lasting at least 90 minutes will get 1 point towards the 10s required to get the ATC Events Award .
Two points for those doing 2 sessions lasting at least 90 minutes each, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.
